Job summary

QCS Staffing in Ohio is seeking a Planner for an initial 12-month contract on a life sciences capital project to build a next-generation facility.

You will develop high-level schedules, manage owner verification and readiness, lead reviews, and perform critical path analysis to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in project scheduling for large-scale CAPEX projects.
  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Experience with EPCM contracts and scheduling methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage high-level schedules for capital projects.

Planner – US, Ohio – Initial 12 Month Contract – Life Sciences

Be part of a next-generation pharmaceutical project that’s transforming how medicines are made. We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Planner to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

What You’ll Deliver
  • Develop and manage high-level program schedules for capital projects, ensuring accurate forecasting and project alignment.
  • Own and oversee the Owner Verification Schedule and Operational Readiness Schedule, integrating project phases and milestones.
  • Lead schedule reviews, ensuring contractor submissions align with overall project strategy, scope, and deadlines.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, identify risks, and provide recovery strategies to maintain project integrity.
What you’ll need:
  • Extensive experience in project scheduling and planning within large-scale CAPEX projects (pharmaceutical sector preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Previous experience working for an EPCM and therefore a strong understanding of EPCM contracts, project logic, and scheduling methodologies.
