Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. seeks a Production Scheduler to coordinate the master production schedule and ensure on-time delivery to customers.

You will partner with Production Planners, analyze capacity and material requirements, and drive lean improvements while collaborating across sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing to maintain daily plans. This role values strong analytical ability, clear communication, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business or supply chain or equivalent experience.
  • CSCP or CPSM certification preferred.
  • Three years of experience in the supply chain field; manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery by executing the master production schedule.
  • Collaborate with Production Planners on order releases and exception messages.
  • Analyze sales order releases for capacity planning and material requirements to optimize efficiencies.
  • Interface with manufacturing, purchasing, and supervisors on material status and planning issues.
  • Analyze and resolve scheduling issues impacting production.
  • Manage materials systems data to support daily manufacturing plans.
  • Apply lean manufacturing methods to scheduling activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through change management and best practices.
  • Facilitate collaboration between sales, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Manages production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to customers by execution of master production schedule.
  • Works closely with Production Planners on order releases action and exception messages from the company system.
  • Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements and makes suggestions to optimize efficiencies.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department, and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
  • Analyzes and resolves scheduling issues impacting production.
  • Responsible for materials systems management and dissemination of production scheduling data to ensure the effective execution of daily manufacturing plans.
  • Incorporates process improvement methods and techniques involved in lean manufacturing as it relates to scheduling functions.
  • Implements and drives continuous improvement activities through the application of change management and best practices.
  • Ensures collaboration and coordination between relevant departments/plants including sales, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Educational Requirements
  • Associate's degree in business, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Supply chain certification (CSCP, CPSM, etc.) preferred.
Experience Requirements
  • Three years of experience in the supply chain field.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
