EPTAM Precision is seeking a Planner to join our Northfield, NH team. The role focuses on creating and maintaining production schedules and converting forecasts into actionable plans to meet customer needs.

You will work with ERP/MRP systems, monitor progress, and coordinate with multiple teams to optimize machine utilization and on-time delivery. A bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 2–5 years of manufacturing planning is preferred.

  • 2-5 years planning/scheduling experience in manufacturing.
  • CPIM/CSCP/APICS certification preferred but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Planner is primarily responsible for the following:

  • Creating, maintaining, and monitoring the production schedule to meet customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for assigned machines, work centers, products, or value streams.
  • Convert customer orders, forecasts, backlog, and inventory requirements into production plans.
  • Sequence work to optimize machine utilization, labor, setups, tooling, materials, and workflow, adjusting when necessary.
  • Establish and communicate planned start, completion, and ship dates.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules based on actual performance, material availability, capacity constraints, quality issues, and changing priorities.
  • Balance work across machining, secondary operations, inspection, outside Processing, and finishing.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems to verify material availability and maintain accurate work-order dates, quantities, priorities, and statuses.
  • Identify material shortages, capacity constraints, and delivery risks. Coordinate corrective actions with the appropriate teams.
  • Develop recovery plans for late orders, equipment downtime, quality holds, labor constraints, and material shortages.
  • Expedite critical orders through production, inspection, outside processing, and shipping.
  • Provide the Sales team with accurate lead times, confirmation dates, shipment projections, and recommit dates.
  • Participate in backlog, capacity, customer-priority, sales, and operations planning meetings.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, on-time delivery, backlog, work-in-process, shortages, and capacity utilization.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support improvements to production flow, inventory levels, planning processes, ERP data, and scheduling tools.
  • Communicate all pertinent issues and concerns to the Procurement/Production Control Manager before they affect customer commitments.
  • Represent the company, as required, during customer, internal and ISO audits, as well as FDA inspections.
  • Understand the sensitivity of the data handled by systems under your control and take appropriate measures to protect it.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree preferably with a major in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
  • EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years relevant planning, scheduling, production control, materials management, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable. Experience within a manufacturing, medical device company or other similarly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/ REGISTRATIONS: APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or a related supply chain certification preferred, not required.
