Job summary

CPI Aero is seeking a Planner to oversee scheduling, releasing, and tracking of workflow from engineering through manufacturing and shipping. The role interfaces with Program Managers, Procurement, Engineering and Quality to maintain material flow and expedite parts with the Program Buyer.

Responsibilities include maintaining schedules in MRP, reporting on contracts, and ensuring on-time delivery while implementing engineering changes and capacity planning.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills is required.
  • Experience in MRP/ERP systems is a required.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 3-5 years experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Program manager and production to sequence manufacturing, assembly, and finalization.
  • Participate in all IPT and daily stand up meetings.
  • Maintain lead-times and due dates on all assemblies during build process.
  • Plan production tasks and schedules to ensure customer orders meet on time delivery.
  • Flow down all engineering changes.
  • Create and maintain line of balance (LOB) for all production programs.
  • Coordinate with all departments and Program manager to identify and resolve delivery and budget issues.
  • Manage work order demands through MRP.
  • Ensure PVD is maintained daily.
  • Perform capacity planning analysis.
  • Assist with new program introduction phase.

Job description

The planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, releasing and tracking of the workflow from engineering through manufacturing and shipping. This individual will work as a prime interface with our Program Managers, Procurement, Engineering and Quality departments to maintain the flow of material through the system. In addition, expedite parts and services in conjunction with the Program Buyer. Planner will also perform the following tasks: Maintain the schedule for each contract in MRP (Infor XA); create, track, and report on their assigned contract(s); flow down all engineering changes to appropriate departments and is responsible to maintain and analyze standard verses budgeted manpower hours; achieve positive results while adhering to CPI values and processes.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with Program manager and production to sequence manufacturing, assembly, and finalization

  • Maintain lead-times and due dates on all assemblies as needed during the build process
  • Plan production tasks and schedules to ensure customer orders meet on time delivery
  • Flow down all engineering changes

  • Ensure PVD (primary visual board) is maintained and monitored on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project and PowerPoint is a plus
  • Experience in MRP/ERP systems is a required
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience

The salary range for this position is : $69,350-$92,550. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and other factors allowed by law. Individuals are not typically hired at or near the top of the salary range.
