Job summary

BD is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to own Planned and Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Daily Team Maintenance (DTM) activities in a high-volume manufacturing setting. The role coordinates maintenance planning, resources, and materials for PM days and shutdowns, while supporting engineering and parts teams to ensure timely tasks.

Candidate should have 2–5 years of mechanical experience, proficiency with SAP, and familiarity with Lean practices.

Qualifications

Requires at least one year of formal training in mechanical trades or equivalent related experience.
Prefer 2–5 years of mechanical technical experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of maintenance systems, procedures, and SAP.
Prefer knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, preventive maintenance, conveyors, and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

Implement improvements to existing PPM processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
Partner with department representatives to ensure PM is initiated and completed within the time frame.
Report information to the PM leader to drive cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental requirements.
Manage and ensure accurate data entry of SAP related to PMs.
Collaborate with Engineering and Parts Crib to manage spare parts efficiently.
Plan plant shutdowns with correct resources, materials and workload.
Coordinate with internal resources and outside vendors to procure parts and equipment.
Support PM activities during scheduled maintenance periods.
