Woodlandsmed in Marianna, FL is seeking a dependable Utility Worker for our Planing Mill. This on-site role supports machine operations, material handling, quality checks, and safety practices to keep daily production running smoothly. You will monitor edgers and conveyors, load lumber, inspect for defects, perform routine maintenance, and uphold OSHA standards. The position offers full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand for long durations in production environments.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to read and follow verbal/written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor edgers, trimmers, conveyors, and other mill systems.
• Move, cull, stack, and roughcut boards; load/offbear lumber.
• Inspect lumber for defects, moisture, and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine checks, clear jams, lubricate parts, and assist with basic repairs.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and keep the work area clean and safe.
