Socket.dev seeks a driven Plaintiff Attorney to join our Midlands, SC practice. Independently manage a caseload of personal injury and workers' compensation matters from inception through resolution, with emphasis on client communication and strategic advocacy.

The ideal candidate has a JD, SC Bar admission, 3+ years of relevant experience, strong research and writing skills, and a collaborative approach. This role offers competitive compensation with commission and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the South Carolina Bar.
  • 3+ years of verifiable experience in Personal Injury and/or Workers' Compensation.
  • Strong research, writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a caseload of personal injury plaintiff cases from inception through resolution.
  • Investigate claims, gather evidence, and develop strong legal strategies.
  • Draft and file legal documents.
  • Conduct depositions, negotiate settlements, and represent clients at hearings and trials.
  • Maintain exceptional communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with our team of case managers.
  • Stay abreast of changes in workers' compensation law and best practices.

What You\'ll Do:
  • Independently manage a caseload of personal injury plaintiff cases from inception through resolution.

Requirements
What You Bring:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the South Carolina Bar Association.
  • 3+ years of verifiable experience working in the fields of Personal Injury and/or Workers' Compensation.
  • Proven ability to manage a significant caseload effectively and independently.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine ability to connect with and advocate for clients from diverse backgrounds.
