Job summary

Locks Law Firm is seeking a Litigation Associate for a full-time, on-site role in Philadelphia, PA. The attorney will support all phases of plaintiff-side litigation, including case evaluation, legal research, and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.

The position requires strong deposition experience, excellent writing and research skills, and the ability to manage a complex caseload. Collaboration with partners and staff is essential to advance cases efficiently.

Qualifications

• Extensive deposition experience and knowledge of defending depositions.
• Ability to manage a significant caseload of complex matters.
• Experience drafting Motions and pleadings with persuasive advocacy.
• Strong research using legal databases to support case strategy.
• Solid civil litigation and personal injury knowledge.
• Familiarity with trial and appellate Courts and procedures.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and Pennsylvania bar admission or eligibility.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative teamwork.
• Prior plaintiff-side or complex litigation experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of plaintiff-side litigation.
• Conduct case evaluation, legal research, and draft pleadings, motions and briefs.
• Prepare discovery requests and responses.
• Attend client meetings and interview witnesses.
• Coordinate with experts and manage case files and deadlines.
• Court appearances, hearing preparation, and trial support.
• Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance cases.
