Qualifications

• Prior plaintiff-side or complex litigation experience is beneficial.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Litigation Associate role based in Philadelphia, PA. The Litigation Associate will assist with all phases of plaintiff-side litigation, including case evaluation, legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and preparing discovery requests and responses. Daily responsibilities include participating in client meetings, interviewing witnesses, assisting with depositions, coordinating with experts, and managing case files and deadlines. The role also involves court appearances, hearing preparation, and trial support, including drafting examination outlines and evidentiary submissions. The Litigation Associate will collaborate closely with partners, senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance cases efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience taking and defending depositions of clients, fact witnesses and defense witnesses.


• Ability to manage significant case load of complex matters.


• Experience drafting Motions and related pleadings, with clear, persuasive written advocacy and attention to procedural rules.


• Excellent Research skills using legal databases and other resources to develop case strategy and support written work product.


• Strong foundation in Law, including civil litigation and personal injury principles, with the ability to analyze complex fact patterns and legal issues.


• Familiarity with trial and appellate Courts, including filing procedures, scheduling, and courtroom practice.


• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission, or eligibility for admission, to the Pennsylvania bar.


• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines, and a high level of professional integrity.


• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and interact respectfully with clients.


• Prior plaintiff-side or complex litigation experience, including personal injury, mass tort, or class action work, is highly beneficial.
