Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a Placement Specialist for the Business Insurance Select team. You will develop new client relationships, gather application information, obtain quotes from markets, and guide proposals through binding coverage.

Ideal candidates have a P&C license or ability to obtain within 90 days, 2+ years of sales experience, and a proven ability to meet annual goals, with a high school diploma as a baseline.

Qualifications

• NC Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• 2+ years of relevant sales experience in Business Insurance (P&C).
• Ability to meet annual sales goals consistently.
• High School diploma required.
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• College diploma or equivalent in insurance or financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new client relationships by providing prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service and evaluate New Business referrals.
• Gather application information, obtain quotes from markets, and drive the proposal through binding coverage.
• Collaborate within the team and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

A day in the life.

As our Placement Specialist on the Business Insurance Select team, you will develop new client relationships by providing prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service and evaluate New Business referrals to determine if they are viable. You will be in direct contact with clients gathering application information, as well as obtaining quotes from insurance markets and taking the proposal through binding coverage. Collaboration within the team, along with attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, are the keys to success.

Our future colleague.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• NC Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• 2+ years of relevant sales experience and/or Business Insurance (P&C) industry experience
• Ability to consistently meet annual sales goals
• High School diploma required.
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
