Job summary

Grand Valley State University seeks a program professional to support PK-12 schools in PBSE and partner-driven stewardship initiatives. You will coordinate grants, develop professional learning for educators, and collaborate with CEP and GSI teams to advance place-based stewardship across partner institutions.

The role emphasizes grant execution, proposal development, and evaluation, with a focus on equity, partnerships, and continuous program improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of K-12 classroom/programming experience.
• At least 2 years of experience planning, facilitating, and evaluating PD for adults.
• Familiarity with PBSE principles and practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and conceptualization.
• Ability to design and deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences.
• Commitment to community-based environmental stewardship and DEI.
• Willingness to learn new teaching approaches for PBSE.

Responsibilities

• Implement grant requirements, including project management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with CEP staff and GSI stakeholders to develop new grant proposals.
• Develop, market, implement, and evaluate high-impact professional learning around PBSE.
• Support PK-12 educators in field to develop student-led PBSE projects.
• Foster relationships with partners to support student/community stewardship.
• Identify strategies for program development, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned per grant agreement.
