Grand Valley State University is seeking a Place-based Education Specialist to support PBSE adoption and active use across PK-12 settings at the Pew Campus in Grand Rapids, MI. The role focuses on collaboration with CEP and GSI teams to implement high-impact professional learning and sustain partnerships.

The position requires at least a bachelor's degree with 2+ years in K-12 programming and adult professional development, plus a commitment to equity and community stewardship.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Two years of experience in K-12 classroom/programming focusing on aligning with curriculum standards.
• Two years of experience planning, facilitating, and evaluating high-impact professional development for adult learners.
• Familiarity with PBSE principles and practices.

Responsabilidades

• Implement grant and program requirements including project management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Collaborate to develop new grant/funding proposals.
• Develop and evaluate high-impact professional learning around PBSE for educators and partners.
• Support PK-12 educators in field to develop PBSE projects.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to support program development and sustainability.
• Identify strategies for continuous improvement and wrap up activities.
