Job summary

WGVU TV in Grand Rapids seeks a grants administrator to oversee grant funding opportunities supporting technology, education, IDEA, programming, and community impact. This role serves as a liaison between WGVU, the GVSU Office of Sponsored Programs, University Institutional Advancement, and GVSU Grants Accounting.

Responsibilities include researching potential funders, evaluating RFPs, drafting proposals, and managing funded projects while tracking reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in researching, writing, and administering grants in nonprofit/public education.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grants administration including researching funders and evaluating RFPs.
• Write, review, and edit proposals to foundations and other funders.
• Identify and secure philanthropic gifts from private, corporate, and public foundations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal funding agencies.
• Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, and steward major foundation donors.
