Job summary

Mount Indie seeks a PKI and Cyber Security Engineer to support enterprise PKI operations and cybersecurity initiatives for the DoD. The role focuses on CA infrastructure, OCSP, certificate management, and cloud integration across Azure and AWS.

You will work with government stakeholders and technical teams to ensure secure certificate services, high availability, vulnerability remediation, and adherence to DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Degree preferred; hands-on experience may substitute for degree.
• IAT Level II certification: CISSP, Security+, Azure certs, MCSE, AWS CCP, etc.
• Hands-on experience with certificate services, issuance & lifecycle management, and OCSP.
• Experience with Windows Server environments (physical and virtual).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability remediation, hardening, and DoD/FISMA/NIST compliance.
• Ability to document procedures, runbooks, and infrastructure support plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication with government customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, implement, optimize, and sustain enterprise PKI infrastructure (CA servers, OCSP responders/repeaters).
• Configure and maintain PKI technologies (AD CS, NDES, SCEP) and certificate management solutions.
• Support PKI and OCSP integration with Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Develop certificate issuance for SSL/TLS, NPE, devices, and code-signing certificates.
• Integrate PKI with enterprise apps and systems requiring certificate-based access.
• Design highly available PKI infrastructure and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Perform PKI troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and service recovery.
• Apply patches and configuration changes to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain secure ops.
• Ensure compliance with DoD STIGs, IAVM, NIST, and FIPS.
• Develop technical docs, SOPs, runbooks, and COOPs for PKI operations.
• Support enterprise key management and key ceremonies.
• Participate in security audits and compliance assessments.
