Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient in Spanish, both written and oral.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Title I campus: 48 college hours required or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test.
• Ability to work with students and teachers.
• Ability to manage a flexible schedule.
• School office or volunteer experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work within deadlines.
• Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in classroom as directed by teacher(s).
• Adhere to policies and procedures related to pre-kindergarten programs.
• Assist in carrying out the instructional program.
• Assist in maintaining student records and audit folders.
• Assist in preparation, use, and maintenance of instructional materials and equipment.
• Assist with teacher-planned activities, exercises, and drills.
• Assist in teaching/learning with individuals and small groups to reinforce skills.
• Attend professional meetings as required.
• Assist in administering and scoring objective assessment instruments.
• Maintain flexibility in performing duties.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships.
• Supervise individual and small group activities as directed.
