Job summary

Holyoke Public Schools is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist for PK-12 (Anticipated) with immediate starting date. The role focuses on diagnosing and treating communication disorders within the school setting and aligning skills with the student’s educational plan.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, MA DESE licensure, and experience with IEPs, progress data, and collaborative teaching. Salary is competitive with district benefits, located in Holyoke, MA.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Massachusetts DESE Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology required (All Levels).
• Experience teaching social/pragmatics preferred.
• Demonstrated collaborative teaching ability.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, write and implement IEPs and attend IEP meetings.
• Supervise Speech and Language Assistants and graduate students.
• Provide consultation to general and special educators on student needs.
• Administer standardized assessments, write reports and provide recommendations.
• Monitor student progress through data collection.
• Design and implement small group or inclusion interventions.
• Meet district, state and federal requirements (IEP/Progress reports).
• Create a positive environment using multi-tiered supports.
• Communicate professionally with the student’s team and stay current in best practices.
