Job summary

TotalEnergies Integrated Power USA is seeking a Senior Manager, PJM Modeling and Analysis Lead to drive nodal market insights, manage internal and external contributors, and present recommendations to senior leadership.

You will oversee the development of models for forecasting long-term PJM market dynamics, coordinate with trading, portfolio management, and regulatory teams, and guide strategic decisions for the energy portfolio.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in economics, finance, engineering, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in power market analysis or a similar analytical role within the energy sector.
• Knowledge of PJM and/or Eastern Interconnection markets, including pricing, market fundamentals, regulation, and policy dynamics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to convey complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Project management skills are a plus.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and data modelling. Experience with Python, R, MATLAB, and modeling software BID3, Plexos, PSO.
• Demonstrated industry awareness and a track record in the power market domain.
• Knowledge of energy industry trends and environmental regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional US and HQ teams to align market analysis with business objectives.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of PJM power market dynamics, price trends, and regulatory changes.
• Collect and manage data from market reports, databases, and internal systems.
• Lead development and improvement of analytic models forecasting nodal power market dynamics; define requirements and roadmap with development teams.
• Run business use cases including hourly price forecasts and investment-support analyses; explain market dynamics to stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, participate in regulatory forums, and position the PJM team as a thought leader.
• Propose and deliver the roadmap for PJM market modeling activities in the US.
