Eataly in Chicago is seeking a Pizza Maker to produce roman-style pizza alla pala following authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery Manager and works onsite in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities include preparing pizzas, maintaining quality and cleanliness, mastering different shifts in pizza production, and engaging with guests to share knowledge about the process. Requires 1+ year back-of-house experience, strong work ethic, and good communication; evening and

Job Description

A Pizza Maker is responsible for producing roman-style pizza alla pala in accordance with our authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery Manager.

• Prepares pizzas according to specific recipes
• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
• Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to Department of Health standards
• Works towards mastering all shifts in pizza production
• Assists Sales Associates if needed and engages with guests interested in learning about pizza production
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills

Compensation for this role is $19.00 – $21.00 per hour.

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible, open schedule often including evenings and weekends preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to work with a wood burning oven, electric pizza convection oven and commercial spiral mixer
