Job summary

Streets of New York, Inc. in Scottsdale is seeking a skilled Cook to join our casual pizza restaurant. You will prepare menu items, stock stations, and maintain a clean, fast-paced kitchen.

We offer a pay range of $17–$20 per hour based on experience, plus health benefits for full-time staff, employee discounts, and holidays closed. A Maricopa County Food Handler’s Certificate is required and you must be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must have Maricopa County Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Experience as a line cook or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Streets of New York recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in food inventory management and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
• Maintain equipment and utensils, ensuring they are cleaned and properly stored.
• Follow sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with menu item development and promotions as needed.
• Lift heavy items as required (e.g., up to 50-lb flour bags).
