Job summary

Mellow Mushroom in Herndon, VA is seeking a pizza cook to craft hand-tossed pizzas and accompany items while maintaining a positive team vibe. You will learn to spin dough in an open kitchen, ensure precise temps, and follow recipes to build custom pizzas that keep guests returning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the pizza dough, sauces, cheeses, and toppings (tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and more)
• Become a master at spinning dough in an open kitchen; our customers love this, they will cheer for you (for reals)
• Monitor exact temperatures and cooking times for our premium stone-baked pizzas
• Be comfortable talking to coworkers and guests; we want you to extend the Mellow vibe to everyone – especially team members
• Prepare the Mellow specialty pizzas our guests crave and rave about. This includes following recipes and creating build-your-own menu items that leave guests coming back for more.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and utensils/equipment; we pride ourselves on strict standards for food safety
