Job summary

Eataly, the world’s largest artisanal Italian food marketplace, is seeking a Pala Lead for its Houston bakery/pizza production facility. You will supervise production staff, train team members, and ensure recipes are followed for pizza alla pala, focaccia, and other bakery items.

Responsibilities include inventory management, quality control, cash handling when needed, and engaging with guests to share product knowledge. Availability for evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience.
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises bakery/pizza production staff
• Leads, trains and develops team members
• Prepares pizza, focaccia, and bakery items per recipes
• Manages stock and inventory for the department
• Maintains clean, sanitary production area
• Assist guests with product knowledge
• Performs cashier duties when needed
• Documents and resolves incidents
