Qualifications

We are seeking a safety-focused, results-driven Quarry Pit & Primary Production Supervisor to lead daily pit operations, primary crushing activities, and autonomous haul truck operations. What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, MSHA regulations, and operational procedures.


• Supervise daily pit operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, primary crushing, and autonomous haul truck activities to meet production objectives.


• Optimize equipment utilization, workforce productivity, and production processes to maximize efficiency and operational performance.


• Coach, develop, and support team members through performance management, training, and accountability.


• Collaborate with maintenance, plant operations, and leadership teams to resolve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education, industry training, certifications, and relevant operational leadership experience will also be considered.


• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quarrying, surface mining, aggregates, heavy industrial manufacturing, or a related production environment with increasing operational responsibilities.


• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory, lead, or frontline leadership experience directing employees, contractors, or production crews in a production-driven environment.


• Demonstrated success leading production teams, coordinating complex operational activities, and achieving safety, production, quality, and performance objectives.


• Experience managing mobile equipment operations and leveraging fleet management technology, process automation, autonomous haul truck systems, or advanced operational control systems to improve operational performance.

Physical Demands of the Job

Ability to work safely in an outdoor quarry and mining environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, noise, and vibration. Frequently walk and traverse uneven terrain, gravel surfaces, active mining areas, quarry pits, crushing operations, and maintenance work zones.
