Job summary

Staker Parson Companies seeks an experienced Pit/Crusher Foreperson to oversee daily aggregate production at the Daniels Canyon Pit and Plant. You will supervise pit and crushing crews, coordinate equipment and production activities, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while delivering quality materials.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of aggregate production, crushing, mining, quarry, or heavy civil construction experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or foreman-level experience preferred.
  • Experience operating and overseeing crushing and screening equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of aggregate production processes and material specifications.
  • Experience with equipment maintenance coordination and preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote CRH's safety culture, ensuring compliance with all company, MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily pit and crushing operations to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
  • Direct and oversee crusher operators, equipment operators, mechanics, and laborers.
  • Monitor production rates, equipment utilization, and material quality to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and crew briefings.

Position Overview

Staker Parson Companies is seeking an experienced Pit/Crusher Foreperson to oversee daily aggregate production operations in support of heavy civil construction projects at our Daniels Canyon Pit and Plant. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for supervising pit and crushing crews, coordinating equipment and production activities, maintaining safety and environmental compliance, and ensuring efficient production of quality aggregate materials.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in crushing operations, aggregate production, mining or quarry operations, heavy equipment operation, and crew leadership. This individual must demonstrate a commitment to safety, productivity, and continuous improvement while supporting company goals and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Lead and promote CRH's safety culture, ensuring compliance with all company, MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily pit and crushing operations to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
  • Direct and oversee crusher operators, equipment operators, mechanics, and laborers.
  • Monitor production rates, equipment utilization, and material quality to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and crew briefings.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of crushing plants, conveyors, screens, and associated equipment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, dispatch, quality control personnel, and maintenance teams to support operational goals.
  • Inspect work areas and equipment to identify and correct safety concerns or operational deficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate production reports, equipment records, and operational documentation.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling blast rock processing, stockpile management, and material handling activities.
  • Train, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance and maintain a highly skilled workforce.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits, dust control requirements, and site housekeeping standards.
  • Perform equipment operation duties when necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on production, quality, safety, and cost control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
