Southside Market & Barbeque is seeking a Pit Cook for our Leander, TX location. The role focuses on pit production, following recipes, and maintaining sanitation standards. Experience in BBQ cooking is preferred; training is available for the right candidate who values teamwork and pride in the craft.

You will work in a fast-paced, wood-fired environment with an emphasis on authentic Texas BBQ. We offer full-time schedules and benefits; candidates should be able to lift up to 80 pounds and read,

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently in all job-related situations.
• Experience with BBQ cooking is preferred but not required for entry.
• Able to follow recipes, safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Pit Production: follow recipes and sanitation standards.
• Regulate pit production to match business needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pit area.
• Stock seasoned meat and prepare for production.
• Communicate with the Line to keep product stocked.
• Lift up to 80 pounds as required.
• Work in a high-temperature pit environment.
