Southside Market & Barbeque in Leander, TX is seeking a Pit Cook to join our team. We cook low and slow barbecue and pride in craftsmanship. You will work in a recipe-driven kitchen to deliver premium Texas BBQ with consistency.

Requirements include a Food Handler Certificate or ability to obtain, English fluency, and prior BBQ or professional cooking experience with various meats. This is a full-time, on-site role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required (or ability to obtain at hire).
• BBQ cooking experience preferred or professional cooking with various meats.
• Comfortable in a recipe-driven cooking position.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes, safety and sanitation standards.
• Regulate production according to business needs.
• Build and maintain wood fires in pits.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pit area.
• Communicate with Line to keep product stocked.
• Prepare and stock seasoned meat for production.
