Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to lead field teams across the Industrial District, overseeing piping installation and construction on self-performed projects.

You will supervise craft personnel, coordinate with engineers, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence while traveling to project sites across the United States. Lead with strong collaboration and drive outcomes on complex industrial projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' work experience in self-perform construction with 3+ years as a Superintendent.
• 3+ years piping or mechanical craft supervision experience.
• Knowledge of state journeyman/apprentice ratios for piping work.
• Advanced knowledge of safety, scheduling, cost control, drawings, procurement, and estimating.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal/communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping scope as Superintendent, managing foremen and craft workers while driving productivity, safety, quality, and schedule.
• Act as liaison between field engineering and craft; coordinate with PM, CM, and technical teams on piping challenges.
• Interface with other superintendents, subcontractors, inspection agencies, clients, and leadership to maintain workflow and schedule.
• Resolve workforce conflicts and scheduling challenges; escalate when needed.
• Assist in planning, schedules, craft labor, materials, and equipment for piping systems.
• Ensure adherence to safety, attendance, and conduct policies; promote a safety culture.
• Set and enforce budget expectations for piping; oversee lookahead schedules and inspections.
