Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) seeks a Piping/Plumbing Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in our Phoenix office. You’ll help empower clients to design energy‑efficient, sustainable building solutions and gain exposure to high‑impact projects across healthcare, science, and technology sectors.

You’ll work with seasoned professionals, observe firm operations, and build a foundation for a professional engineering career in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program from ABET accredited school.
• Completed 3 years of coursework or have a junior standing.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations.

Responsibilities

• Assist piping/plumbing design on energy-efficient building projects.
• Work with engineers on significant, complex tasks and learn company practices.
• Observe how a successful engineering firm operates and contribute where possible.
