Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a Piping/Plumbing Engineer I for our Austin office. The role focuses on energy-efficient building systems, from load calculations and sizing to field surveys and equipment selection.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers and begin mentoring designers as you grow. Ideal candidates have an ABET-accredited engineering degree and an EIT or internship in MEP consulting.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSAE from ABET-accredited school required.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 required.
• EIT certification (FE) a plus; internship in MEP consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations, sizing, and equipment selection.
• Conduct field surveys and review equipment shop drawings.
• Lead piping/plumbing project teams as you gain experience.
• Write specifications and participate in client meetings.
• Support construction-phase activities.
