Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. is looking for a Piping/Plumbing Designer II in our Chapel Hill office to help clients achieve energy-efficient building solutions and greener futures.

You will translate design concepts into detailed layouts, drawing on basis of design, user input, and project data to support successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of building systems. Proven experience in at least one discipline area such as fire protection, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing/piping, or process systems.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and in the current version of AutoCAD and/or REVIT. Navisworks experience preferred.
• Experience in interpreting design criteria and converting it into specific layouts.
• Understanding of applicable design codes and specification requirements.
