Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking a Piping Mechanic responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with codes. You will work on medical gas and lab systems under supervision, with a focus on safety and quality.

The role involves reading plans, cutting, threading, and fitting pipes, and coordinating with foremen and other trades. We offer competitive pay and benefits, career development, and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

  • Four years of industry experience in piping/mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of BOCA and OSHA safety regulations is required.
  • Ability to work with precision within tight tolerances.
  • Ability to direct crews to install work safely and efficiently.
  • Strong communication with teammates and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and stay calm under deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install and maintain valves, pipes and fittings.
  • Read plans and locate pipe passage holes for walls and floors.
  • Cut and thread pipe using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Install plumbing fixtures such as sinks, water heaters, and toilets.
  • Maintain safety rules and collaborate with supervisors and other trades.

Piping Mechanic - ConstructionThe primary responsibility is to assemble, install, maintain, and repair piping systems, fittings, and fixtures associated with heating, water, and drainage systems in accordance with project specifications and all applicable plumbing codes. Perform all piping for medical gas and laboratory/hospital systems in strict compliance with their respective codes and regulatory standards.
