Job summary

Genex Systems is seeking a Maintenance Pipe Planner/Scheduler to support the CMDOE contract at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. The role focuses on planning piping maintenance, coordinating labor, materials, and work packages to ensure safe, reliable operation.

You will develop detailed schedules, review requests for safety and impact, coordinate outages, and maintain accurate CMMS records (Maximo), contributing to downtime reduction and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; 6 years related maintenance experience in pipe/pipe fitting.
• Effective oral and written communication; ability to use visual aids and computer tools.
• Ability to analyze problems with computing technology.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown piping maintenance.
• Develop detailed work packages with scope, labor, tools, and hours.
• Review maintenance work requests and prioritize by safety, impact, and equipment criticality.
• Coordinate outages and maintenance windows with facilities.
• Ensure materials, replacement parts, and asset availability before work begins.
• Prepare weekly and long-range maintenance schedules.
• Monitor schedule compliance and adjust priorities.
• Maintain CMMS records in Maximo.
• Support center turnaround and safety planning.
• Coordinate with procurement for piping materials and components.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reliability, and cost efficiency.
