Job summary

Capstone Mechanical LP. is seeking a Piping Leader to motivate and manage a small crew on piping projects in Waco, TX. You will read blueprints, coordinate with GC site teams, and ensure safety and quality on each job.

The role requires hands-on supervision, material planning, and maintaining housekeeping standards. Responsibilities include directing fabrication and installation work, reviewing drawings, and ensuring compliance with codes and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and ability to supervise a crew.
• Excellent customer service and problem solving.
• Basic math and computer skills for daily tasks.
• Must be mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies and procedures.
• Familiar with common piping tools and welding/ brazing basics.
• Must have relevant certifications and demonstrate competency on task assignments.
• Team oriented and able to work independently when needed.
• Experience with equipment operation (forklift, man-lift) is a plus.
• Willingness to follow safety rules and complete required paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, drawings and specs to layout piping systems.
• Supervises a small crew and manages job progress and quality.
• Ensures personal and crew safety and site housekeeping.
• Plans two weeks ahead and orders materials accordingly.
• Connects piping using soldering and related processes.
• Directs preassembly and installation of wall systems and fixtures.
• Maintains records and attends site meetings with general contractors.
• Ensures compliance with building codes and safety standards.
