Job summary

Global Edge Group is seeking a Piping Field Engineer Specialist in Brownsville, TX to support construction, quality verification, testing readiness, and system turnover through detailed field inspections and documentation review.

You will verify installed piping against drawings, identify discrepancies, assist with test packages, and coordinate with construction, engineering, quality and commissioning teams to ensure mechanical completion and turnover readiness.

Qualifications

• 5 to 12 years of piping, mechanical, or related field engineering experience preferred.
• Experience supporting process piping construction and installation projects.
• Strong ability to interpret P&IDs, Isometric drawings, Plot plans, and construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 and related piping codes and standards.
• Proven ability to perform field inspections and identify installation discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Perform system and test package walkdowns to verify installation against Isometric drawings, P&IDs, plot plans and construction drawings.
• Identify, document, and track punch list items and installation deficiencies.
• Verify valve orientation, accessibility, and installation requirements and piping routes.
• Coordinate with construction supervision, engineering, quality and commissioning teams.
• Assist in preparation and verification of testing and turnover packages.
