Job summary

Talascend, LLC is seeking a Piping Field Engineer Specialist for a long-term contract in Brownsville, TX. The role focuses on field engineering support for piping construction, QA verification, testing, and system turnover.

Responsibilities include field walkdowns, punch lists, test packages, and hydrostatic testing, with emphasis on verifying installations against P&IDs, isometrics, and plot plans. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and coordination skills demonstrated in field environments.
• Experience documenting field activities and maintaining records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct piping system field walkdowns and verify installation against drawings and specifications.
• Inspect valves, fittings, flanges, supports, and tie-ins for routing and tagging.
• Identify discrepancies and close punch-list items.
• Support quality inspections, including flange alignment, bolt-up, and material traceability.
• Prepare piping test packages and verify system boundaries and readiness.
• Assist hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, flushing, cleaning, mechanical completion, and turnover.
• Coordinate with construction teams and site supervision to resolve issues.
• Maintain walkdown reports, inspection records, and turnover documentation.
• Participate in safety briefings and comply with project safety and quality requirements.
