Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Piping Estimator for our Woodridge, IL office. The ideal candidate will perform quantity takeoffs for piping systems and mechanical equipment and assemble accurate estimates for commercial and industrial projects.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, organize quotes, maintain client relationships, and participate in pre-bid activities and budgeting for pre-construction phases.

Experience with QuickPen AutoBid and HVAC takeoffs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience estimating commercial projects.
• Experience with estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, including piping plans.
• Experience with HVAC takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs for piping systems and mechanical equipment for industrial piping and mechanical systems.
• Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates.
• Organize subcontractor and vendor quotations, ensuring quotes meet contract documents.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients.
• Prepare, coordinate, and evaluate subcontractor bid packages.
• Assemble material and labor costing information for the company's historical database.
• Formulate cost breakdowns from estimates for project managers' pre-construction budgeting.
• Attend pre-bid walk-throughs.

Salary Rate: $100,000 - $135,000

We are working with a great MEP contractor that needs a piping estimator at its main office in Woodridge, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial and/or industrial HVAC and piping systems.

What You'll Do

• Perform quantity takeoffs for piping systems and mechanical equipment for industrial piping and mechanical systems.
• Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates.
• Organize subcontractor and vendor quotations, ensuring quotes meet contract documents.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients.
• Prepare, coordinate, and evaluate subcontractor bid packages.
• Assemble material and labor costing information for the company's historical database.
