Job summary

PAE Government Services Inc. seeks a Piping Engineer 2 in our Denver office to join a multidisciplinary design team.

You will perform design development, analysis, and coordination across engineering, logistics, and program management to deliver system specifications and documentation. The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering, 3 years of related experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work with plant 3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Revit BIM as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.
• Generate complete design specifications of more complex projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, finance, and program management to define system specs.
• Establish and maintain filing systems or databases for tracking project status.
• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Interface with customers from quotation to final design and test activities.
• Conduct site visits, investigations and analyze engineering problems to propose solutions.

We are currently seeking a Piping Engineer 2 to support our Denver office.

Purpose/Scope Description

Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex assignments.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.
• Generate complete design specifications of more complex projects.
• Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, finance, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.
• Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.
• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
• Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related scientific field.
• 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
• Good communications and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
• Position may require travel.
• Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
• US Citizen only.
• Dual Citizens are not allowed.

Preferred Qualifications

• B31.3 experience
• Piping Stress Analysis experience preferred
• Piping Specifications experience
• Piping material selection, valve selection experience
• Experience with Plant 3D, and Navisworks preferred
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit BIM is preferred
• Previous experience with Department of Energy (DOE) projects is preferred.
• Drafting and Design experience preferred

COMPENSATION HIRING SALARY RANGE

$100K - $110K (Annually) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
