Job summary

Ztek Consulting is seeking an experienced Process & Piping Engineering professional with 15+ years of EPC/engineering background for a client-facing onsite role in Houston, TX.

Candidates should have strong expertise in P&IDs, heat and mass balance, data sheets, line lists, 3D models and related design reviews, with brownfield experience and excellent client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Process / Piping Engineering.
• Experience in EPC / engineering projects.
• Direct interaction with client engineering, operations, construction and PM teams.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs, heat and mass balance, data sheets, line lists, C&E, piping layouts and 3D models.
• Brownfield mods, tie-ins, field verification and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between onsite/client teams and offshore engineering teams.
• Oversee engineering progress, quality, schedules and client comments.
• Conduct site walkdowns and red-line markups; validate as-built conditions.
• Assist in RFI resolution and design reviews (HAZOP, ALARP, constructability).

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Process & Piping Engineering professional with 15+ years of EPC / engineering experience to support a major engineering project in a client-facing onsite role.

• 15+ years of experience in Process / Piping Engineering
• Proven experience working directly with client Engineering, Operations, Construction & Project Management teams
• Strong expertise in P&IDs, Heat & Mass Balance, Process Data Sheets, Line Lists, Cause & Effect, Piping Layouts and 3D Models
• Experience with brownfield modifications, tie-ins, field verification and constructability
• Strong understanding of ASME B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8 and client specifications
• Experience with HAZOP, Model Reviews, ALARP, Constructability & Design Reviews
• Strong Piping/Process/Mechanical/Civil/Structural/E&I interface management
• Hands-on experience with site walkdowns, red-line markups, as-built validation and RFI resolution
• Ability to coordinate effectively between onsite/client teams and offshore engineering teams
• Strong experience tracking engineering progress, quality, schedules, milestones and client comments
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
