Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking a seasoned Pipeline Engineer to lead pipeline design activities, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver EPC-focused projects. You will develop execution plans, perform key calculations, and guide clients through the engineering lifecycle.

Ideal candidates hold ABET-accredited degrees, have FE/PE credentials or equivalent experience, and can mentor engineers while delivering results on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, ABET-accredited, with 7 years pipeline experience; EPC project exp preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology or related ABET-accredited program, FE exam completed, 7 years pipeline experience; EPC exp preferred.
• Master's in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 6 years pipeline experience; EPC exp preferred.
• Expert knowledge of standard engineering techniques; strong computer skills (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ATF).
• Proficiency with 49 CFR Part 192 and ASME B31.8; familiarity with 49 CFR Part 195 and ASME B31.4 is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead design for large projects; mentor team.

Responsibilities

• Lead pipeline design, including plans, profiles, details, and BOM.
• Coordinate surveys, geotechnical investigations, permitting, and land acquisition.
• Prepare calculations for studies and reports.
• Develop scope and execution plans; provide engineering cost estimates and schedules.
• Lead cross-discipline design coordination (Pipeline Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, I&C).
• Develop and improve processes, tools, and factory acceptance testing.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers; communicate with clients.
• Provide short-term field support during construction; support business development.

Description

Pipeline Engineer may include full or partial responsibility for the following assignments:

• Lead in the execution of engineering activities:
  • Pipeline design, including plans, profiles, details, and associated bill of materials
  • Coordination to obtain survey, geotechnical investigations, permitting, and land acquisition
  • Calculations for studies and reports
  • Material and equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing
• Lead in preparation of proposals and scope development, including:
  • Conceptual designs and execution plans
  • Engineering/project cost estimates and schedules
• Lead coordination of design activities with other disciplines (Pipeline Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, etc.)
• Develop and improve processes, tools, and/or factory acceptance testing
• Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members
• Regularly meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel
• Provide short-term field support during construction
• Support business development and marketing initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related degree from an ABET-accredited program, and 7 years of pipeline engineering experience required. EPC project experience preferred.
• Or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology or related degree from an ABET-accredited program, successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and 7 years of pipeline engineering experience required. EPC project experience preferred.
• Or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 6 years of pipeline engineering experience required. EPC project experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong computer skills (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, ATF).
• Proficiency with 49 CFR Part 192 and ASME B31.8. Familiarity with 49 CFR Part 195 and ASME B31.4 is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.

• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
• Ability to travel.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
