Piping Construction Lead – Pharmaceutical Construction Program

On-site – Indiana – 12-Month Contract – Full-Time (40 hrs/week + OT with approval)

Are you a senior construction professional ready to lead piping execution on a high-profile pharmaceutical project? We’re looking for an experienced Piping Construction Lead to take ownership of field supervision, contractor coordination, and system delivery across a complex, highly regulated facility.

This is a key site leadership role where your ability to supervise teams, drive installation quality, and lead systems through to successful testing and turnover will be critical to project success.

What You’ll Do
  • Act as the site lead for all piping construction activities, with a strong focus on supervision, coordination, and delivery
  • Oversee and direct piping supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors across multiple work fronts
  • Plan, sequence, and manage piping works (process, utilities, clean systems) in line with the overall construction and turnover schedule
  • Drive safe, compliant, and high-quality installation practices across all piping scopes
  • Lead system completion efforts including walkdowns, punch management, and turnover readiness
  • Coordinate closely with CSA, E&I, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless system integration and handover
  • Review and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, and vendor documentation
  • Provide technical guidance and field leadership to resolve installation issues, clashes, and constraints
  • Monitor productivity, manpower, and subcontractor performance to maintain schedule commitments
  • Champion site safety culture and ensure strict adherence to all safety requirements
  • Oversee testing, flushing, cleaning, and preparation of systems for commissioning and qualification
  • Ensure accurate reporting of progress, system status, and turnover documentation
  • Support client walkdowns, inspections, and final handover processes
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in piping construction within industrial or life sciences projects
  • Proven track record in a senior supervisory or construction lead role
  • Strong background supervising piping installation across process and utility systems
  • Demonstrated experience driving projects through testing, completion, and turnover phases
  • Solid understanding of systemization, commissioning interfaces, and phased handover
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and construction drawings
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and subcontractor management skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
  • Experience enforcing safety, quality, and productivity standards on complex job sites
Preferred Experience
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated project experience
  • Familiarity with GMP environments, clean utilities, and high-purity piping systems
  • Experience supporting commissioning, qualification (CQV), and system turnover processes
  • Background on large-scale, fast-paced, multi-discipline construction programs
