Job summary

Sun Technologies is seeking a hands-on technician for a 12-month contract in Batavia, IL. Pay rate is determined by experience, with benefits including ACA medical insurance, a 401(k) plan, and sick leave in compliance with applicable laws.

The role covers fabrication, wiring, and assembly of electrical parts and control interface boxes based on schematics and instructions. Ideal candidates will have soldering experience, ability to read electrical schematics, use hand and power tools, ladder

Qualifications

• Soldering experience required.
• Proven ability to work from electrical schematics used for industrial control systems or equivalent.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work on a ladder.
• Be able to lift 15 lbs.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, assembly, installation and removal of a variety of electrical parts and sub-assemblies.
• Wiring of custom control interface boxes based on schematics, drawings, and verbal and written instructions.
• Cable assembly, layout, and termination in terminal blocks or connectors.
