Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Conyers, GA is seeking an assembler/brazer to perform brazing and assist with unit layout and setup for refrigeration components. Tasks include measuring, cutting, bending, assembling copper and steel tubing, and torch brazing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED or related experience and a range of math, reading, and reporting abilities. This is a hands-on manufacturing position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3–6 months related experience or training
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
