Job summary

Tallgrass MLP Operations, LLC is seeking a skilled pipe welder to perform and inspect welding on pipelines and related equipment for construction and maintenance of company facilities. The role requires reading blueprints, layout, fit-up, and adherence to QA/QC and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience with pipe SMYS grades, metal properties, and the ability to pass Tallgrass welding tests.

Qualifications

• Experience as a pipe welder with aptitude for welding inspection.
• Knowledge of metal properties and pipe SMYS grades.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Capable of meeting regulatory welding certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and inspect welding operations on pipelines, piping systems and related equipment.
• Layout, cut, fit and prepare material for welding.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Coordinate pipeline shutouts and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain facilities and equipment, and oversee third-party work.
