Perform welding operations per jobsite specifications on a variety of pipe types and materials in an industrial, terminal and pipeline construction setting.
Responsibilities:
Maintain ethical conduct in line with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Adhere to and promote company safety policies and Core Values.
Collaborate effectively with team members, supervision, and QA/QC departments.
Select appropriate welding equipment and plan layouts for pipe welding.
Weld pipe of various sizes and alloys using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, ARC, TIG, MIG.
Execute welds for high- and low-pressure pipe per specs. Welds are subject to NDE standard testing for visual, hydrostatic, and 100% x-ray inspection.
Perform pipe fit up and grinding as required.
Weld on non-piping components, structural steel components, work within precise limits and accuracy standards.
Perform additional tasks -as assigned by supervision.
Ensure identification and mitigation of workplace hazards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in refinery, terminal and maintenance construction environments.
Must possess current pipe welding certification.
Must pass required weld tests: 12” pipe butt weld and 12” pipe branch weld (6010/8010).
Ability to use basic hand tools and read/interpret job specs.
Successful completion of company Safety training and Site-Specific Training.
Ability to pass a background check, maintain an active status within the required drug testing program and willing to travel.
