Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. in Ohio (Lebanon) seeks a Pipeline Technician Trainee to maintain and operate refined product pipelines, LPG lines and pump stations, ensuring safe and efficient throughput.

You will inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, participate in safety programs, and support regulatory compliance as part of a field team. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• VoTech certificate or associate’s degree or related work experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years stable work history, preferably in the energy industry.
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret alignment sheets, schematics and P&IDs.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, decision making skills and strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently as well as maintain and promote good working relationships within a team environment.
• Must be willing to work overtime and callouts.
• Must be within a one-hour commute time to report-to location.
• Self-motivated and able to learn and improve skills through training.
• Must demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to correct problems.
• Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Good organizational skills and customer service in interfacing with landowners and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate pipelines, pump stations and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on pumps, motors, valves and related components.
• Assist with replacement of pumps, motors, valves and equipment, including foundation work and startup.
• Participate in training programs and safety meetings to comply with regulations.
• Review procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Complete time records and regulatory reports.
• Maintain communications with Area Supervisor regarding maintenance and trouble reports.
• Aim to minimize overtime by optimizing work.
• Perform remedial and preventative maintenance and keep facilities clean and safe.
• Assist with cross training to develop skills in other areas.
• Use precision tools and test equipment as needed.
• Respond to operational emergencies as part of the area team.
• Perform regulatory inspections and supervise contractor work when needed.
• Launch and receive cleaning pigs and assist with smart pigs.
• Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor.
