Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions in Utah is seeking a talented Project Engineer to support pipeline capital projects from planning through closeout. You will apply engineering principles, conduct calculations, and coordinate with operations, suppliers, and regulators to keep projects safe, timely, and cost-effective.

You will review construction documents, develop scopes and estimates, and assist field teams with change orders and scheduling. Travel to sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program (Civil/Mechanical/Chemical preferred).
• 2–4 years of engineering, utility, construction management, project execution, or construction experience.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and evaluations with standard tools.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations, technical analysis, and evaluations to support pipeline design and project execution.
• Review plans for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
• Evaluate natural gas system capacity and operational needs.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and material orders.
• Coordinate planning, design, construction, and closeout.
• Prepare bid packages and support contractor evaluation.
• Coordinate schedules, resource planning, and execution activities.
• Track progress, budgets, forecasts and schedules.
• Maintain project documentation and closeout packages.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and permitting authorities.
• Support field and engineering issue resolution.
