Planet Group in Salt Lake City is seeking a Project Engineer I for a 1-year contract. You will provide engineering, project management, and construction coordination support for natural gas pipeline capital projects, covering planning, design, bidding, construction, and closeout.

The role requires applying engineering principles, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance across the project lifecycle. Travel to field sites is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years experience in engineering, utilities, construction management, or project execution.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and evaluations using standard tools.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Oracle, and other engineering/project software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Aufgaben

• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support pipeline design and project execution.
• Review drawings, plans, specs, and construction documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate system capacity and operational needs.
• Develop project scopes, estimates, and material orders.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings, schedules, and resource planning.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate field resources and permitting activities.
• Document and resolve engineering and construction issues.
