Job summary

Kleinfelder in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Pipeline Project Engineer to join our hybrid office team. You will develop pipeline designs, perform calculations, and coordinate with discipline leads to ensure compliant and safe solutions for distribution and transmission projects.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, 6–10 years of experience, and preferably a PE. You’ll use CAD and GIS tools, communicate effectively, manage data, and mentor junior engineers as part of our

• BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience required.
• PE is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pipeline designs, calculations, drawings and layouts.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Analyze data and perform gas system hydraulics analyses.
• Coordinate with other workgroups and client sites.
• Prepare bid packages and construction specifications.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Assist in schedule and budget estimation.
• Support business development and marketing initiatives.
