Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Station Engineer for our Columbus, OH office with a hybrid work model. You will work on station and facility projects, applying standard engineering methods and coordinating with clients on execution and design reviews.

Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 3–6 years of relevant experience; proficiency with MS Office. CAD/GIS knowledge is preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or related Engineering degree).
• 3–6 years relevant experience.
• Technical communication.
• Proficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings from field inspections and specifications.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with codes and design criteria.
• Acquire and analyze data using standard qualitative methods.
• Field visits to facilities to obtain on-site information.
• Perform gas system network and hydraulic analysis.
• Understand gas metering, regulation and SCADA.
• Prepare construction specifications and bid packages.
• Utilize software to size equipment based on flow parameters.
• Develop status reports with progress and solutions.
