Plains All American is seeking a Pipeline Operator in the United States to support transportation, storage and processing of crude oil. The role involves operating pumps, validating measurements, and maintaining safe, compliant pipeline and facility operations.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, pipeline knowledge, basic math/PC skills, and the ability to coordinate with carriers and customers. Haz‑Mat training and DOT compliance are required as part of ongoing duties.

Qualifications

• Must have pipeline knowledge and ability to manage pump station, pipeline and lease crude oil shipping responsibilities.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical operational manuals.
• Basic math and computer/PC skills.
• Must possess or obtain operator qualifications per supervisor and complete Haz‑Mat training and DOT requirements.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for petroleum product movements in and out of pipeline pump stations and for custody transfer activities with carriers and customers.
• Routinely inspects pumps and valves for proper operation.
• Measure crude oil quality and quantity according to Plains procedures and report results.
• Perform monthly DOT tankage inspections and fire extinguisher inspections and maintain records.
• Inspect perimeter fencing, locks and security, and report any infractions.
• Ensure routine DOT compliance maintenance on ROW, equipment and valves.
• Maintain communications with Pipeline Control Center.
• Witness meter proving and crude oil shipments from lease to delivery point; operate pipeline pigs as needed.
• Perform other pipeline related tasks or projects as directed by Operations Supervisor.
