Job summary

Plains is seeking a Pipeline Operator to operate and maintain pipeline assets for safe transport and storage of crude oil and refined products. You will monitor pumps, valves, and facilities, and ensure accurate measurement and reporting of quality and quantity.

You will perform routine inspections, DOT compliance tasks, and coordinate with the Control Center and carriers. Strong technical reading, math, and English skills are required for this on‑site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pipeline knowledge and ability to manage pump stations and crude oil shipping responsibilities.
• Basic math, reading technical manuals, and computer/PC skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pipeline assets and facilities ensuring safe transportation and storage.
• Inspect pumps, valves, and equipment for proper operation and reporting.
• Measure crude oil quality and quantity; perform DOT and safety inspections and maintain records.
• Coordinate with control center and carriers; perform routine tasks and run pipeline pigs as needed.
